Sierra has two younger sisters. Maya Oakley is a middle girl born on December 2, 1998. And Willow Oakley is the youngest. Like Sierra, her sisters, including the youngest Willow, are passionate about helping their mother. Maya and Sierra have been a sidekick for their mother’s vet since he was a kid. Since both go to university, it is difficult for them to find time off often. During the summers, the two spend most of their time behind the scenes and in front of the camera alongside Dr. Michelle Oakley. Both daughters have appeared in Nat Geo Wild show “Dr. Oakley Yukon Vet.”

It is clear that Maya likes to care for and treat animals, but she intends to pursue a career elsewhere. She is currently enrolling at the University of Western Ontario, where she is studying criminal law. Unlike Sierra, who sees herself working in Yukon, Maya is critical of the cold and wants to move to a warmer place. During high school, Maya and Sierra shared the same hockey team (GCDS Mustangs) where she guarded the net.

It’s an early call to judge Willow whether or not she will follow in her mother’s footsteps. So far the signs are good, she can handle well and helps her mother with animals.
